Aura Flooring Terms and Conditions of Sale

All calls are recorded for training and monitoring purposes.

Aura Flooring reserves the rights to use recordings to assist in any resolutions and disputes that may arise. 

All orders are accepted by Aura Flooring on the express condition that they cannot be cancelled once cut, loaded or dispatched. 

This condition applies equally to stock and special order items. 

 

ACCOUNT TYPES 

All new customer accounts are automatically opened on a pay as you go, pro forma basis, on submission of a fully completed application form. 

Aura Flooring will only offer credit account facilities for trade customers who have established a regular trading history and with an account in good standing for a minimum period of 6 months, and have followed all of Aura Flooring terms and conditions. 

Subject to credit check two references and bankers reference. 

Aura Flooring reserves the right to terminate inactive accounts or accounts in breach of Aura Flooring terms and conditions without permission. 

 

TERMS OF PAYMENT 

Aura Flooring accepts payments by card, cash, and bacs. 

Credit accounts are strictly due by the 10th of the following month (failure to uphold will result on your account being placed on hold and debt recovery procedures may be enforced at the company’s discretion). 

 

RISK AND PROPERTY 

The risk of the goods shall pass to the customer on delivery. 

Ownership of goods will not pass to the customer until Aura Flooring has received payment in full (cleared funds) for the goods and all other goods which are due. 

 

STANDARD DELIVERY SERVICE

Aura Flooring cut off time for next day delivery is 3pm, depending on available space on our delivery vehicles. Same day collections are welcome on stocked items. 

Aura flooring will not be liable in any way for delay or failure of delivery irrespective of cause. 

Order values under £50.00 or delivery to other addresses may incur a carriage charge please speak to the sales team for these charges. 

If Aura flooring cannot complete delivery to the customer when scheduled then Aura Flooring reserves the right to apply redelivery charges. 

Goods delivered must be signed for. 

Any goods left and unsigned for are at the buyer’s risk. 

Aura flooring accepts no liability for damage or loss. 

It is a clear condition of trading that all items accepted /delivered must be inspected by the customer and are checked for the correct size, colour and design, before cutting.

Claims for short delivery or damages caused in transit must be reported to Aura Flooring immediately. 

NATIONWIDE DELIVERY SERVICE

Aura Flooring offers a UK-wide delivery service for selected products. Delivery is via a third-party carrier and charges may apply. To use this service, customers must be registered with us and be trade professionals in the flooring industry. The maximum size for delivery is anything that can fit on a pallet or a small parcel. 

 

CLAIMS AND RETURNS

It is company policy that cancellation of products cannot be accepted after the goods have been cut and dispatched. 

Prior authorisation in writing must be obtained from Aura flooring before returning any goods. Returns may only be considered when it will not cause any cost or loss to Aura Flooring. 

The customer will be responsible for all goods that are returned to be in their original packaging and in a sell-able condition. 

All returns will be subject to a 15% handling charge + VAT at the current rate. All items that have been ordered/invoiced or delivered to customers cannot be returned to stock due to any customer error. 

 

CLAIMS 

No claims will be considered:

Where material has suffered improper care or maintenance. 

Where material has been used in a situation for a purpose other than for its intended use (liability falls upon the customer that the items are suitable for intended use). 

Where the floor or surface preparation has not been carried out to a standard deemed satisfactory by the Industry’s standard or in accordance with British standards 5325, or goods sold imperfect or similar description at point of sale. 

Under no circumstances will Aura Flooring accept responsibility for labour (e.g. uplift refitting disposal) or other charges arising for any goods which have been subject to complaint or claim. 

The company will be in no event liable either direct or consequential arising from the supply of defective goods. 

 

COLOUR/PATTERN MATCH 

Every effort will be made to supply orders for floor coverings from one batch but Aura Flooring cannot accept claims for manufacturers’ shade variation once cut and fitted. 

At the time of order customers must state clearly if colour match is required colour matching cannot be guaranteed between different material widths. 

Slight size variations in material are sometimes unavoidable. 

Material that falls within the British standards institute tolerance of +/- 1.25% will be deemed Aura Flooring has fulfilled its contract. 

Aura floorings total liability is limited to, in respect to defective or damaged goods, a like for like replacement of the goods or, at the company’s discretion an allowance, not exceeding the price originally charged to the customer. 

Shading and pressure marks are inherent in pile carpets. 

These tendencies are not detrimental to the wear of the material and are not due to any manufacturing fault. 

Over time frequent foot traffic will flatten pile carpets causing areas of differential wear.

This happens to all carpets with a pile surface and as such is not accepted as a manufacturers fault. 

Even the greatest care from the manufacturer or distributor cannot prevent these tendencies and Aura Flooring cannot accept any responsibility arising from either of these tendencies. 

 

PRICES 

All prices are exclusive of VAT. 

All prices for goods listed on trade price lists or otherwise supplied by Aura Flooring are offered on the strict condition that they are subject to alteration without prior notice and accordingly, all orders are accepted on the understanding that they will be supplied at the trade prices ruling at the date of dispatch or delivery. 

Cutting service is available at the rate of £5.00 per cut + VAT.

 

SAMPLING 

Because floor coverings are produced in batches some samples may not be from the same production batch as current stock and therefore to be taken as a guide and not an exact match.
