Aura Flooring is a family-owned business
Truly independent, building itself to have a supply chain of over 140 manufacturer accounts and the ability to supply thousands of flooring products, including carpets, vinyls, LVT, wood, safety flooring, and more, Aura Flooring is well-positioned to meet the needs of flooring professionals in the UK.
The founder, David Basra, was previously a floor layer but was involved in a serious road-traffic accident. So, in 2015, he decided to start a wholesale flooring business. Aura Flooring began to supply locally to tradespeople, and the business grew rapidly with the recruitment of experienced team members.
Within 18 months, the business had expanded from Milton Keynes to Bukinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire. In 2016, the company outgrew its original warehouse and moved to a larger one. The expansion continued in 2018, with the company extending its operating area to include the Midlands, Warwickshire, London, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire and Cambridgeshire.
Aura Flooring built its reputation as a wholesaler by offering its customers competitive prices and providing access to more than 140 brands. In 2019, the company recruited a sales representative with over 40 years of industry experience, further strengthening its team.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Aura Flooring faced unprecedented challenges, but it remained committed to supporting its customers. With a skeleton staff, the company supplied key workers on sites such as hospitals, schools, and universities.
In 2021, the company employed a contract specialist with over 35 years of experience. Then, in April 2022, Aura Flooring moved to a new 13,000 sq ft warehouse, providing access to improved distribution, a professional showroom, state of the art warehouse, and a modern-style Trade Counter stocked with your favourite products and extensive sampling available.
